Grade 5 Unit 1 PBL: MAT Mural
The Principal wants to make Shakerag a school where everyone wants to come to learn every day! One way he plans to do this is by adding more large murals to the school to make it more beautiful. The Principal wants students to take ownership of the school by designing the mural and figuring out many cans of paint you will need.
Before You Begin
1. Choose Groups / Seven Habits: Carefully choose your group to work with. All groups must have 2 or 3 students. Before you begin the project, discuss the Seven Habits. How will you use these habits to work together? At the end of this project, you will complete an individual Leadership Self-Assessment about your contributions to the group.
2. Create Shared Folder: Create a folder in your Google Drive that has the names of the people in your group and "Unit 4 PBL". Share with everyone in your group and with Ms. Kerley ([email protected]). All documents you create for your project should be saved in this folder!
3. View Rubric / Begin with the End in Mind: Click here to see the project planning and rubric sheet. Do not begin working on the project until you have discussed all of the project requirements with your group members. Notice that there is a WOW factor on the rubric. What can your group do to go above and beyond the requirements?
