Volunteer Opportunities
These are some of the volunteer opportunities that will be available this year. Sign-Up Geniuses will be included in the weekly newsletter when time slots become available. Please be sure to complete the Volunteer Requirements at least three days before coming to our classroom. Thank you so much for your help!
Winter and End of Year Parties
Bulletin Board - Please help decorate the bulletin board outside of Ms. Kerley and Ms. Wells class rooms. We will need volunteers to updated the board once a month. If you would like students to complete an activity to be included on the board, please let us know. Pinterest has a lot of great ideas!
Enrichment:
Weekly Class Helpers:
Class helpers will be provided a list of questions or "look fors". While Ms. Kerley meets with small groups, you will go around the room and talk to the students who are working independently. This will help hold them accountable and provide them with more feedback.

Enrichment:
- First Chapter Friday - Be a "mystery reader" for our class. Instead of a picture book, bring a chapter book and only read the first chapter. Encourage students to finish the book on their own! Please choose a book that is available in our Media Center or one that you can donate to the class. Thank you!
- Science Projects - Volunteer to send in materials or lead a science project with our class! Ms. Kerley will plan the experiments and let you know everything you need to bring.
- Mystery Blogger - Write about your career and how you use reading, writing, math, science, or social studies skills. You can also talk about how you use problem solving, creativity, or collaboration skills, too! Ms. Kerley will post your blog on our class blog site for students to learn from you.
- Mystery Skype - Don't miss the fun! About once a month, our class will do a problem-solving activity involving geography where students have to ask yes-no questions to figure out where another class is located via Skype!
